26th Dec 2011 - 2nd Jan 2012:
Trip to Maldives on MV Orion. The water visibility was very poor - from 3 mtrs at worst, to 14 metres at best. It made seeing and photographing the underwater life quite difficult. We saw only 1 Manta ray. We did not see any whale sharks, although they had been seen the previous 8 weeks!
10th - 15th Nov 2011:
Trip to the Red Sea (Sharks bay) on day boats. Where were all the fish? By the end of the week we said so many times that we hadn't seen this fish or that fish. We had noticed this year the fish numbers had been bad.
June 2011:
Trip to Red Sea on a second Blue O two liveaboard this year - This time Blue Melody! North Red Sea & Tiran. This was supposed to be the best time for schooling fish but they were not around. Shark reef normally has 1500 Red snappers, we counted 24.
29th April - 6th May 2011:
Trip to Red Sea on Blue O two liveaboard M/Y Blue Horizon. This is a "Project Shark": Simply the best week. We saw some lovely hammerhead sharks! It was a fantastic week all round (Diving, dive guides, boat, food & crew - I was very impressed). Elke's talks on sharks throughout the week were fantastic. A trip definitely to be recommended.
2nd April 2011:

27th Dec - 3rd Jan 2011:
Trip to Red Sea. The trip was land based (Umbi Diving village - Sharks bay) and was the first time I have tried day boats with my camera!

25th - 31st July 2010:
Trip to Red Sea with my BSAC club, staying on liveaboard MV Contessa Mia - "Brothers wreck special". We were supposed to be on MV Typhoon, but it burnt down earlier this year! I wouldn't go back on Contessa Mia again.

Trip to Yanbu in Saudi Arabia staying on liveaboard MV Miss Veena.
Saudi Airlines gave us 30Kgs + baggage allowance - thank you! Wouldn't go back to Saudi Arabia as it was a lot more hassle and expense, at it was the same Red Sea!

A 36 hour boat ride (300 miles from the Costa Rican coast) to get to the Island, will make it my most remote trip to date…

November 2008:
2 week trip to Borneo with the British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP).
1st week was aboard Celebes Explorer visiting Sipadan, Mabul, Siamil and Kapalai.
2nd week was spent on Maratua Island, travelling to Sangalaki and Kakaban islands by day boat.
September 2008:
Trip to North Red Sea with my BSAC dive club aboard MV Bella.
March 2008:
Trip to Struisbaai, South Africa to dive with Great White sharks without a cage!
