My Camera Equipment

Currently, I have a Canon 5D Mk II (21.1M pixels) in a Hugyfot housing with 2x Inon Z240 strobes, Inon magnifying viewfinder and 2 Fantasea Nano LED focusing lights.  www.hugyfot.com

Canon lenses: 15mm fisheye, 16 – 35mm wide-angle zoom, 24 - 105mm zoom and a 100mm macro.
I have Magic filters for the 15mm and 16 - 35mm wide-angle lenses and also the 24 - 105mm zoom: www.magic-filters.com
The speed improvement when switching on and focusing, along with the significantly higher ISO ratings with less noise, make this camera a dream to use underwater. Having full HD video too, gives further options to catch the moment.

My second camera was a Canon 300D (6.1M pixels) www.canon.com  in a Sea & Sea housing, with 2x Sea & Sea YS-90 strobes www.seaandsea.com

Canon lenses: 15mm fisheye, 10 – 22mm wide-angle zoom, 60mm macro & 100mm macro. I have Magic filters for both wide-angle lenses: www.magic-filters.com
Having the pictures instantly available underwater was a massive help in improving my photography. Changing to a housed SLR, limited you to one lens per dive, which was a bit frustrating at times, but I never looked back at the overall gains going to digital and having superior lenses.

Initially I used the Sea & Sea Motor Marine II EX (35mm film) with 2x YS-60 strobes. I had all the lens attachments available: 16mm wide-angle lens, 20mm wide-angle lens, 2T macro lens and 3T macro lens. www.seaandsea.com

Having all the lenses (wide-angle and macro) that could be interchanged underwater was fantastic! It meant you could be in any situation and you had the correct lens available.
